Balto von Berliner is a gorgeous 10 month old Shepherd/Retriever mix. And what a perfect mix he is! This big, gentle hunk walks great on leash, often turning back to make sure you are following closely behind. Everytime he does, he secretly hopes that you will reach out to pet his cute brown head -- and he practically swoons when you do. He meets other dogs great on leash and is even tolerant with a pushy male whom he met on a walk. Balto is mid-energy and this picture-perfect boy already knows his basic commands, such as "sit," "yes" and "down." He especially likes hearing "yes" because he just loves to please, and his tail wags get even bigger when he hears that! Balto is such a love bug he will definitely oblige if you invite him for a cuddle session and might try to give you a bear hug and a big kiss to thank you for taking him out. Balto is absolutely amazing in playgroup and will be a wonderful candidate for the dog park or doggie day care. He meets all his furry friends well, is tolerant towards the pushy male dogs, and is especially charming with the females. Our kennel workers are madly in love with him, calling him the "Big Sweety" and often saying how much they "love, love, love him!" As much as we want to keep him with us forever, we all know that handsome Balto with the perfect temperament will find his forever family really soon.
